RE/MAX Realty Group Opens Office of the Future

RE/MAX Realty Group has re-invented the real estate office. The new "office of the future", is completely paperless, and is designed for the way agents and their clients work today: fast moving, mobile, and connected.

Darnestown, MD (PRWEB) September 17, 2010 -- RE/MAX Realty Group has re-invented the real estate office. The new "office of the future", which recently opened in Darnestown, is designed for the way agents and their clients work today: fast moving, mobile, and connected.

"We realized that today's agents don't need - or even want - a formal office," said Ken Crowley, one of the Broker/Owners of RE/MAX Realty Group. "What they need instead is a quiet place, to meet their clients, access the internet and other technology, and prepare paperwork."

Not that there is much paperwork in this new office. The office is designed to be paperless and "green", so almost everything is done electronically.

"Even people who aren't very technology-oriented love how simple and easy our technology is," observed Julie Larson, another of the office owners. "Everything is really just point and click."

The office takes advantage of all the latest tech tools, including email, wireless internet, electronic signatures, video tours of homes, and more. But, according to Greg Smith, the final owner of the RE/MAX franchise, it's still about personal interaction with the clients.

"The entire office is designed to be client-centered," he said. "There is comfortable seating from which to view documents and 'tour' potential properties, a conference area for privacy - everything centered around the comfort and convenience of the client"

"Today's buyers and sellers know that there is more to buying and selling houses than just the Multiple Listing Service," said Smith. He said RE/MAX Realty Group agents use social media like Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin, as well as blogging, Craigslist and even YouTube to market their listings and to make sure no stone is unturned in helping buyers look for homes.

RE/MAX Realty Group also uses "easy-to-use systems for electronic signatures and secure online document management, according to Larson. "All documents and contracts are stored securely online, allowing permitted parties recorded access to view, download, email or print if necessary. "

Perhaps the best by-product of the new office concept is that it is truly environmentally-friendly, said Crowley. "Since our agents typically work from home and in the field, excessive office space is not required," he said.

The new office footprint is 1,200 square feet, a fraction of the typical urban brokerage. "We operate paperlessly, do not require agents or clients to drive to meet more often than necessary, utilizing digital communication, paperwork and document transfers," said Crowley. "We minimize driving, use less paper, and smile more!"

RE/MAX Realty Group is one of the top offices in the Central Atlantic Region, with one hundred-thirty agents. This is the firms twenty forth year of operation under the same ownership and management with offices in Gaithersburg, Mount Airy, and now Darnestown.
