In Home Pet Services Inc., a full service professional pet sitting business in Queens, NY is a rapidly growing business, has opened 3-franchise's in the past two years and just announced more opportunities for additional franchise's in the New York Tri-State area.

Bellerose, NY (PRWEB) September 27, 2010 -- Robyn Elman the President of In Home Pet Services, Inc. (IHPS), a full service professional pet sitting business, based in Bellerose, Queens, is thrilled to announce that there are new opportunities for franchisee locations in the New York Tri-state area. This successful business model has given many individuals employment or new careers while the recession has hit many businesses hard over the past couple of years. IHPS has franchised out 3 times in the past two years, and shows no signs of slowing down. With four locations in total, IHPS franchise availability offers opportunity for those seeking a new career path.

With a degree in biology and previously worked as a zoo keeper at the Bronx Zoo, Robyn always had that entrepreneurial drive and wanted to incorporate that with her passion for animals - so she started her pet sitting business full time in 2003. IHPS which became a New York State Corporation in 2004 and trademarked business name in 2006 and the first franchise opened in 2008 - smack dab in the middle of the recession - and business has not slowed down since. Supervising 12 employees with a roster of over 900 clients based out of her own northeastern Queens location, Robyn continues to create jobs during the worst economy we have seen in years. Opening 3 franchise locations in the last two years and with another one opening scheduled to open in 2011, In Home Pet Services is quickly growing to be the industry leader in Queens, Brooklyn, and Long Island.

Being and entrepreneur in the pet industry has given Robyn, her employees and franchisee's the opportunity to do what they love, (working with animals), and has provided people an opportunity to make a great living doing so. Even though Robyn has invested a lot of money into getting the franchise off the ground, she said, "With 4 locations, 3 of which are franchised, I have the extreme sense of personal satisfaction and accomplishment - knowing that I have provided people with new careers. And of course many happy pet owners knowing their pets are well cared for while they are at work."

In Home Pet Services is also not your average pet sitting company, besides the obvious success of franchising and very happy customers, they offer services other companies simply can't compete with. Robyn is a certified Pet CPR and First Aid instructor, and offers classes to other pet professionals outside of her company, as well as all franchisee owners have taken her course and the majority of her employees are trained in it also. "Pet first aid and CPR is so important for anyone to learn who works in the pet industry, pet owners and first responders (such as police and firemen & women). I am so proud that I can offer this course to others, and that my employees are trained in it as well." IHPS is also not just about dogs and cats, they also care for smaller pets such as rabbits, reptiles and birds, offering bird services such as nail and wing clippings.

When hiring anyone to work for her, Robyn does what any reputable business does, when a job opening is available it is announced and interested candidates must fill out an online application. After weeding through hundreds of resumes, Robyn sets up interviews. Once the best candidate is chosen, references are called and a background check is done on the candidate. All employees are bonded and insured through Pet Sitters Associates, LLC. "Pets are like people's children in some cases, and we have only the best professional and secure employees representing our company. Our employee's are passionate about animals, love what they do, and provide outstanding care to our clients pets."

IHPS also has a very active website, www.inhomepetservices.com, and Facebook community. Much of the information on how to become a franchisee, learn more about all the services are offered by each location and to find out more about the company and Robyn can be found on the website. There are also a lot of fun aspects to the website with things like their 'Pet of the Month' pictures, news and events and much more.

Giving back to the pet community is important to Robyn as well, so she offers proceeds from her pet first aid and CPR classes to local animal non-for-profit rescue groups and organizations. Classes can be schedule across Long Island, Queens, Brooklyn and New York City. With her continued success, Robyn looks forward to be able to give back more and hopes that her story will inspire others that with hard work, perseverance, determination and of course the love of animals, that success can be achieved.
