Caregiving Company AmeriCare Expands Franchise into Tennessee

Franchise Owners Sought in Chattanooga, Clarksville, Knoxville, Nashville, and Memphis

ATLANTA, Sept. 29 // PRNewswire // -- AmeriCare, the leading home-based caregiving franchisor, announced plans for expansion into Tennessee's five largest cities: Chattanooga, Clarksville, Knoxville, Nashville, and Memphis.

"We want to expand into areas that have a defined need for home-based caregiving services and a growing market that can support new franchise owners," said Debra Reis, president of AmeriCare. "Tennessee was the clear choice for finding new AmeriCare franchise owners."

AmeriCare's research revealed both a demographic need as well as the support of local communities who understand the need for quality, home-based caregiving services. In Tennessee, the group with the highest demand for quality, home-based caregiving services - those over the age of 60 - make up nearly 20 percent of state's population. The results of a recent AARP survey of Tennessee voters (ages 35+) revealed that 50 percent of voters say they or a family member are likely to need long-term care services in the next five years. Eighty percent also support increasing funds for services that will help people stay in their own homes and communities longer. The latest figures on caregiving in Tennessee identified nearly 800,000 informal, unpaid caregivers (usually family members or friends) who provide more than 830 million hours of caregiving. More than one-third of all informal caregivers hold full-time jobs, which makes the issue of caregiving not just a personal one, but an employer issue as well. "We're expanding in Tennessee to be part of the solution and to offer quality, reliable, home-based caregiving services to people and families in need," added Reis.

AmeriCare's expansion into Tennessee - which already has been jumpstarted with a franchise in Nashville - is part of a larger national growth strategy announced earlier this year. AmeriCare franchises provide caregiving services to seniors and families with a choice of licensed, pre-screened, personally selected caregivers who work with individuals to create a unique customized care plan, free of limitations or restrictions. The caregiving company is actively seeking new franchisees to own and operate franchises in the five largest cities in the state to bring AmeriCare's services into communities with the greatest need and opportunity. Entrepreneurs invest $30,000 to purchase a franchise with AmeriCare providing the structure, training, marketing plans and materials, and ongoing support to ensure local market success. AmeriCare was recently listed on the SBA Franchise Registry easing the loan process for potential franchise owners. The company is also an active member of the International Franchise Association.
