November 05, 2010 // Franchising.com // LAS VEGAS – Roger Engelau was already working with small businesses in the field of economic development but he was frustrated by the lack of tools available. Then he found ActionCOACH and knew he had finally found the resources to advice small business owners throughout Indiana.
ActionCOACH is the world's leader in business and executive coaching. When Brad Sugars, Chairman and Founder, started the company in 1993, it was still in its nascent stages. By franchising the company in 1997, Sugars helped business coaching become more mainstream turning it into the second fastest growing category behind Information Technology. ActionCOACH specializes in coaching small to medium size business as well as executive teams and group coaching.
"When I was first exposed to the full ActionCOACH toolbox, I was like a kid in a candy store. I know these tools will really help local businesses," Engelau said recently. "So many of businesses in our city are experiencing great pain and anguish associated with the difficult economy, I knew I needed to do something. Now I have the tools to give them hope, and results."
It is through his skills as a leader and experience in the world of business that Engelau will be able to produce results for his clients. He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and has been at the head of a number of business turnarounds in his career. It is clear that Engelau is a leader who knows how to motivate people to get things done.
Engelau's journey as an ActionCOACH franchise owner began in Las Vegas, Nevada where the ActionCOACH Global Office is located. Here he spent 10 days training with other new franchise owners and business coaches from around the world. They learned the ins and outs of ActionCOACH, how to run a business the ActionCOACH way, branding, systems and techniques, as well as how to apply their knowledge to any business and much more.
His franchise will be based in Mooresville, Indiana and he will offer his services to businesses throughout Indianapolis and central Indiana. He will work directly with ActionCOACH Master Licensee Craig Hohnberger to provide outstanding services to any business that needs business coaching.
In addition to his career successes, Engelau is also a Six Sigma Black Belt and earned an MBA. In his spare time he works with the Indiana Foster Care and Adoption Association and is a member of the Chamber of Commerce in Indianapolis, Greenwood and Mooresvile.
With so much to offer, there is little doubt, Engelau will be a tremendous resource for businesses that work with ActionCOACH throughout central Indiana.
