ColorTyme moves into Montgomery

Eddie Edwards and Derrick Vinson partner to open rent-to-own franchise

December 01, 2010 // Franchising.com // MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The wait for a locally owned and operated rent-to-own store in Montgomery, Ala. has finally come to an end. Eddie Edwards and local resident Derrick Vinson recently opened the doors to ColorTyme, a trusted 30-year-old franchise brand.

"Montgomery has a special place in my heart because it's where I live, work and raise my family," said Vinson. "That makes a big difference for our business. Since we understand the wants and needs of residents here, we respond quickly to provide products and services they are looking for. We don't run the store from miles away; we are right here for customers right now."

The new store offers low prices and credit-free approvals on brand new rent-to-own items for the home including furniture, appliances and electronics. To celebrate its opening, ColorTyme will host a family-friendly event on Dec. 4 which features a drawing for a 50-inch Plasma TV.

"The Grand Opening is our chance to celebrate our new store and thank the people in Montgomery who have supported us so far. We'll have something for everyone: food and drinks, face painting, a moon bounce for kids and plenty of prizes," said Edwards. "We are proud to give this city a better rent-to-own business and show customers how a hometown store operates."

The event will take place starting at 10:00 a.m. at the ColorTyme store located on 3747 Eastern Blvd.
