Shop Owner Paul Ito Opening Multiple Locations

December 21, 2010 // Franchising.com // HILLSBORO, Ore. – Bishops Barbershop, cuts and colors for men and women, today announced that franchisee Paul Ito has opened his shop in Orenco Station at 6198 NE Cornell Road in Hillsboro. He will also be opening a Bishops Barbershop in Bridgeport Village in January.

"I've known Bishops founder Leo Rivera for more than 25 years, and have watched the brand grow to multiple locations," Ito said. "I knew I wanted more than one shop, and when both of these locations became available at the same time, I felt I had to seize the opportunity."

For the past 15 years, Ito has enjoyed a career in the golf industry as a PGA professional and most recently, as general manager for the Puakea golf course in Kauai, Hawaii.

"I've enjoyed the golf business, but am ready for a change," Ito said. "Once Leo started franchising, I decided it was the right time to be part of Bishops. It's a popular, well-known brand in the greater Portland area. There's been lots of local buzz about the new shop because so many people are excited to have a Bishops in their neighborhood."
