Wyndham Hotel Group Marketers Recognized for Excellence by HSMAI
January 06, 2011 // Franchising.com // PARSIPPANY, N.J. — Wyndham Hotel Group, the world's largest hotel company based on number of properties and one of three business units of Wyndham Worldwide (NYSE: WYN), today announced that several of the company's marketers have been recognized by the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) for recent stand-out efforts in digital and traditional marketing.
Among those honored, Heny Gabay, vice president of marketing for the company's Super 8® brand, was named to HSMAI's prestigious list of the Top 25 Most Extraordinary Minds in Sales & Marketing. Also recognized were the company's Wyndham Hotels and Resorts® and Baymont Inn & Suites® marketing teams. The Wyndham team received a Gold Adrian Award in advertising for its "We Know You" campaign, which cross-markets the Wyndham Hotels and Resorts and affiliated Wingate by Wyndham® and Hawthorn Suites® by Wyndham brands. The Baymont team received a Silver Adrian Award in digital marketing for its "I Heart My Hometown" promotion, which played off of the brand's positioning of "Hometown Hospitality" to help drive increased awareness.
As a Gold Adrian Award winner, the "We Know You" campaign is now in the running for a Platinum Adrian Award and the Best in Show Award. Platinum and Best in Show winners will be announced when all of the awards are presented at HSMAI's upcoming Adrian Awards Gala in New York City on January 31, 2011.
