Mazzio's is Bringing Back the Pizza That Started it All

Ken's Pizza is back for a limited time

January 26, 2011 // Franchising.com // Mazzio's Italian Eatery is bringing back Ken's Original Thin and Crispy Pizza in February and March to continue its 50th anniversary celebration.

Mazzio's founder Ken Selby opened his first pizza restaurant, The Pizza Parlor, on Nov. 11, 1961, across from The University of Tulsa campus. Ken's original recipe captured many hearts with its crispy crust and spicy sauce.

Now, that same memorable pizza is back for a limited time during February and March. Most Mazzio's locations will offer Ken's 15-inch, extra large one-topping pizza for $10.50 or the five-topping supreme for $13.50.

"We're taking customers back to where it all started, with Ken's original pizza," said Greg Lippert, president and CEO of Mazzio's LLC. "The original spicy sauce and crispy crust makes it an all-time favorite, and we knew we had to make it part of our 50th celebration."

About Mazzio's Italian Eatery

With 166 locations in 10 states, Tulsa-based Mazzio's Italian Eatery, established in 1961, offers customers fast service, convenience, value and quality.
