Brilliant Sky Toys & Books Launches Mobile Application And Online Shop

As the franchise continues on a strong growth path, both of these initiatives are ways in which the company aims to add value for the Brilliant Sky customer.

The mobile application went live this month and is free to download on an iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. It consists of three major components – a store finder, event listings by store, and the Brilliant Savings Technology program.

The Brilliant Savings Technology makes the app very unique for the industry and very compelling for the consumer. The program consists of an exclusive coupon that will be periodically uploaded to the app. The coupon will appear on the app user's device and will display a countdown to the expiration date and time. The user simply brings the mobile device into the closest Brilliant Sky store and shows the coupon at the register upon checking out to get the discount. When the coupon reaches expiration, it will instantly disappear from the user's mobile device screen.

"Given current trends in technology, the mobile app is the logical next step for us in our efforts to provide more value to the consumer in a meaningful way," says Taylor. In addition to targeting a mobile audience, Brilliant Sky is also engaging online consumers. The company recently launched an online shop featuring select products available from Brilliant Sky – http://shop.brilliantskytoys.com/. The online store's purpose is to complement the brick and mortar retail locations. While the selection of merchandise available online will expand over the next year, the emphasis of the brand will remain on the in-store experience.
