The Original SoupMan Announces Deal for New Restaurant at Fisherman's Wharf, San Francisco

Lloyd Sugarman, Co-Founder of Johnny Rockets Hamburger Chain and Original SoupMan Area Developer, to Own and Operate New Restaurant

NEW YORK --(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Original SoupMan is pleased to announce an exciting new venture with Lloyd Sugarman and Matt Johnson, to open the company's first West Coast restaurant at Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco, California, one of the top 10 tourist destinations in America. This expansion represents an important milestone for Original SoupMan's continued nationwide restaurant expansion and growth.

Lloyd Sugarman currently owns and operates the Original SoupMan's location at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut, a highly-successful location that experienced 38% growth in Q4 2010.

Former Governor of the Fisherman's Wharf Merchant's Association, Sugarman also owns fifteen Johnny Rockets restaurants across the country, and as the co-founder he led their explosive growth from a single store in 1987 in Beverly Hills, California to over three hundred restaurants today. Matt Johnson, Sugarman's Original SoupMan at Fisherman's Wharf restaurant partner and partner in the San Francisco Johnny Rockets, currently resides in Marin County.

"Propelled by the success of our Mohegan Sun location, I'm ecstatic to bring The Original SoupMan to Fisherman's Wharf," said Lloyd Sugarman. "Given our sea-food heritage – our bisque is known around the world – Fisherman's Wharf is someplace we belong."

The Original SoupMan at Fisherman's Wharf will offer its world-renowned soups such as Jambalaya, Lobster Bisque, Crab Bisque, Mulligatawny and Chicken Vegetable. Additionally, it will also offer a deli menu comprised of their signature New York-inspired gourmet sandwiches such as the "Penn Station Sub", "Thanksgiving Day Feast" and the "42nd Street Reuben," among others. All of The Original SoupMan premium deli meats are carved fresh daily at the restaurant.

About The Original SoupMan:

Al Yeganeh opened his famous soup shop in 1984 at 55th Street & 8th Avenue in Manhattan. It soon became a worldwide destination, setting the standard for innovation and excellence in soups, and gaining global fame as the inspiration for Seinfeld's soup episode.

With the launch of The Original SoupMan restaurants and his new retail packaged line of premium gourmet, "heat-n-serve" soups, Al and his team are giving everyone the opportunity to experience soup as it was meant to be – at home, or away! To assure the continuity of the brand's legendary quality, the SoupMan has assembled a group of experienced franchise owners and experts in the supermarket industry who love soup as much as he does, to make his soups a house-hold product.

On February 1, 2011, SOUPMAN INC, its parent company, commenced trading on the OTC Bulletin Board® (OTCBB) under the ticker symbol SOUP.
