March 22, 2011 // Franchising.com // DALLAS – The next revolution in core training is here, and it's happening at Gold's Gym.
The world's leading authority on health and fitness announced today that it will be unveiling Les Mills CX30™ - a dynamic group training program designed to connect the upper and lower body for a tight and toned core - at 22 of its U.S. locations. Gold's Gym will be the first major gym chain in the US to introduce the new Les Mills CX30™ program.
"Gold's Gym has the most dynamic, member-driven group exercise program in the industry and we're excited to add Les Mills' new CX30™ program to our offering," said Jim Snow, President of Gold's Gym International. "CX30 represents the latest in core training technique and innovation, and we believe our members will be amazed at the results it delivers. After carefully reviewing the program, we were impressed with its high energy and unique ability to activate core muscles in a time-friendly 30-minute class. We're proud to be the first major chain to offer the program."
The quick, efficient workout targets abs, glutes, back, obliques and more, and will leave members looking and feeling strong. Each 30-minute class features a challenging mix of isolation exercises such as crunches and leg extensions that target specific muscles and integrated moves that use two or more muscle groups together.
"Gold's Gym is a leader in the fitness industry and we're very excited that CX30™ is going to be in their clubs so quickly," said Phillip Mills, CEO of Les Mills International. "CX30™ has been designed to tone and strengthen the core muscles we use every day, but the program also challenges traditional thinking about how muscles are affected by exercise. CX30™ is a unique series of moves that target specific areas at high intensity, so you don't need to work out as long to get results, which we know Gold's Gym members will love as much as we do."
Initial Gold's Gym markets that will carry the CX30™ program include Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, St. Louis, Los Angeles and the Washington D.C. area. Les Mills will partner directly with Gold's Gym franchise owners and group exercise instructors to provide the necessary training and education needed to lead each class.
