Wheat Pasta and New Soups Now Available at Saladworks

All New Additions Less Than 200 Calories per Serving

CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Saladworks, the nation's first and largest fresh-tossed salad franchise concept, proudly announces the addition of brand new menu items for their fans. Barilla® Whole Grain wheat rotini pasta is now available in the salad case, along with over 50 other fresh ingredients. Asparagus & Pea, Lasagna and Loaded Baked Potato soups are also now available in addition to over 15 soups that Saladworks locations offer daily.

"We're always listening to our fans' feedback, and striving to give them more healthy options to choose from in our already plentiful menu." .Saladworks' white Radiatorre pasta has been a favorite among customers in signature salads like the Turkey Club and Tivoli, as well as in create-your-own salads. After testing the wheat rotini pasta for several months, Saladworks found that 30%-40% of customers chose wheat pasta and were pleased with the new healthy option.

Barilla® Whole Grain is all natural and an excellent source of fiber, made with 51% whole wheat, providing the important nutrients and benefits of whole grains and three times the fiber of traditional pasta. Increasing whole grain intake can help reduce the risk of heart disease, improve blood pressure, and reduce the risk of asthma. Barilla® Whole Grain is an excellent addition to Saladworks' True Nutrition Powerhouse Foods – ingredients that are both good and good for you.

The healthy options don't stop with wheat pasta – Saladworks' new soups may sound sinful, but all three soups are less than 200 calories per serving.

Lasagna noodles and ground beef simmer in a thick sauce of diced tomatoes, onions, and green bell peppers in this new soup, which has all the flavors of mom's homemade lasagna – without the extra calories.

Two fresh vegetables easily combine in Asparagus & Pea soup to make a soothing and satisfying addition to lunch or dinner.

Finally, potatoes get punched up with all the classic fixings in the creamy and comforting Loaded Baked Potato soup.

"Saladworks fans want variety – which is one reason why our create-your-own salad is so popular. We recognize this and are proud to add wheat pasta and three new soups to our menu," said Founder/CEO, John Scardapane. "We're always listening to our fans' feedback, and striving to give them more healthy options to choose from in our already plentiful menu."
