Original Salad Franchise Continues Growth in its 25th Year

CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Saladworks, the nation's first and largest fresh-tossed salad franchise concept, announces an agreement to further develop the Southern New Jersey market by opening a location in Washington Township, NJ. Founded in Southern New Jersey, Saladworks is celebrating their 25th year serving America's Best Salads and continuing the expansion in new markets as well as their home state.

New Saladworks franchisee, Naresh Patel, is planning to open his first location in Washington Township, NJ before the end of the year – adding to over 30 Saladworks franchise locations already thriving in New Jersey.

Patel, a Saladworks customer and seasoned franchisee of a chain of motels in Virginia, chose to open a Saladworks franchise because the desire for a healthier fast food alternative is moving from a trend to a necessity.

"I was impressed with the food from the very beginning as a customer, and continued to be impressed by the concept and system as a whole," Patel said. "When I decided to open another franchise, I chose Saladworks because consumers are looking for healthy food options more often than ever."

Patel's experience and success in multi-unit motel operations easily lends itself to expanding with Saladworks. He plans to open his Washington Township location and then expand in New Jersey and Virginia. Just this year, Saladworks signed two separate agreements to further develop Virginia, bringing a total of four locations to the state over the next two years.
