May 25, 2011 // Franchising.com // Firespring has long celebrated the work hard, play hard approach to business. Now, Inc. magazine and Winning Workplaces are joining the party.
Firespring was recently recognized as one of Inc. magazine's 50 Top Small Company Workplaces, celebrating the best small and mid-sized business work environments across the country. The list is created in conjunction with Winning Workplaces, an Illinois-based nonprofit organization.
"Our working culture has always been highly important to Firespring, so this is a particularly rewarding honor for us", said Firespring CEO Jay Wilkinson. ""We operate by the philosophy that you might as well work somewhere where you want to be. Apparently, Inc. magazine and Winning Workplaces agree with that sentiment. "
With over 350 applications, Firespring was selected over some of the country's most dynamic employers. A national panel of leadership experts judged applications and finalist before identifying the winners.
"These firms represent some of the finest privately held companies in the world," states Bob LaPointe, president of Inc. "Each of these Top Small Company Workplaces offers an environment in which people flourish and, as a result, profit follows."
