June 10, 2011 // Franchising.com // Farmingdale, NY - Store owner of the Ayr, Minuteman Press center in Scotland, Jeff Whittle is not only involved with but, along with one or two other Local Business Owners is credited with creating and setting up the "Ayr Independent Shops & Businesses". The group has now become a cooperative business dedicated to promoting local businesses within the community. They run on a non-for-profit basis and put profits towards advertising and marketing local independent business in the town including Minuteman Press of Ayr.

So far Jeff and some of his colleagues have been in the newspaper, a Scottish National Television News program, and the Local Radio Station. The television news program actually had a segment that showed Jeff's store in the background. They run community events such as the recent Easter egg hunt aimed at both adults and kids. The hunt encouraged visiting local stores such as the Minuteman Press center in Ayr. Jeff has put a lot of time and effort into the cooperative and in the very beginning he and his family hand delivered close to 3000 advertising flyers, to local businesses. He really does work tirelessly and his efforts show as the Ayr Independent Shops & Businesses cooperative is growing at a rapid rate.

Minuteman Presses corporate office wishes Jeff and his colleagues nothing but continued success in all future events.
