Roosters Men's Grooming Center Brings Back Old-Fashioned Barbershop Experience

First Ohio Franchise Opens in Deerfield Township

CINCINNATI, OH--(Marketwire - Jun 13, 2011) - Roosters Men's Grooming Center (MGC), the first Ohio store of this fast growing national franchise, opened for business earlier in the month at Deerfield Towne Center in Deerfield Township.

In keeping with the old-fashioned barbershop experience that is unique to Roosters MGC, the local Darlington Brothers barbershop quartet provided entertainment during the grand opening festivities.

Dub Nelson, Roosters' franchise owner, also presented a check for $250 to Meredith Raffel to benefit the Mason-Deerfield Arts Alliance.

"Giving back to the local community is an important part of Roosters' philosophy and our family's as well," said Nelson, who plans to open additional locations in the Cincinnati and Dayton areas in the months ahead. "We look forward to a long-term commitment."

Roosters MGC is pioneering a unique market that caters specifically to men's personal grooming needs. Nelson also expects Roosters to be a welcoming family experience. He and his wife Lisa have five children, including three boys who can all take advantage of the services.

Precision haircuts and shaves with hot steam towels, deep cleansing facial massages and moisturizing lotions are part of the wide variety of services available. Comfort is not overlooked as customers are invited to relax in plush, oversized leather chairs.

Roosters' Manager Christina Emmons and her assistant Jay Phillips oversee a team of six stylists at the store, which currently has six workstations and room to expand as business grows.

Located at 5025 Deerfield in Deerfield Township, Roosters MGC is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Appointments are available by calling 513-234-7856, and walk-ins are welcome.
