Friendly's Restaurants Scoops Up 30,000 Servings of Ice Cream

At Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl

June 14, 2011 // Franchising.com // Wilbraham, MA - Friendly's restaurants participated in The Scooper Bowl, an annual event to benefit the Jimmy Fund supporting cancer care and research for adults and children.

The event, which took place June 7th to June 9th, 2011 at City Hall Plaza in Boston, MA, serves up delicious frozen treats including ice cream, frozen yogurt and sorbet.

The on-site, Friendly's "Fun Team" was made up of 45 employees from local Friendly's restaurants. They scooped 30,000 servings over the three days and the most popular flavor was Hunka Chunka PB Fudge®. The event raised a record-breaking amount of $352,000.
