Massage Envy DC-MD-NoVA Announces Opening of Two New Locations in Metro D.C., Earns Two National Awards

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--This week, Massage Envy, the nation's largest provider of therapeutic massage, announces the opening of two new centers in the Washington D.C. capital region- Frederick, MD and Clarendon, VA. The addition of the new locations brings the Massage Envy DC-MD-NoVA total to 25 centers throughout the Baltimore/Washington D.C. metro area which currently serves over 45,000 members.

Massage Envy DC-MD-NoVA also recently celebrated the grand openings of the Annapolis, MD center which is owned by Joann and Doug Hess and opened in December as well as the Fair Lakes center in Fairfax, VA which is owned by Michael FitzGerald and opened in January.

The Frederick center opens this week and is located at 7820 Worman's Mill Road at the Clemson Corner Intersection. The Clarendon center will open in July at 1180 N. Garfield Street in the Clarendon Center South building. Both facilities will offer all signature Massage Envy Spa services including massage and facials.

The Frederick center is the third Massage Envy venture for Nancy and Barry Boone who serve as owners of the Timonium, MD and Pikesville, MD locations. The Clarendon center will be owned and operated by Chris Brandolini, Greg Nagel and Eric Barton. This is also the third venture for Brandolini who owns the Germantown, MD and Bethesda, MD locations. This is the second center for Nagel and Barton.

Additionally, Massage Envy DC-MD-NoVA was recently awarded two national titles by the corporate headquarters of Massage Envy. The Gainesville, VA center (located at 5123 Wellington Road), also owned by Fitzgerald, was awarded the title of Massage Envy New Center of the Year. FitzGerald is also the owner of the Herndon/Reston center (located at 2557 John Milton Drive). Henry Kim and Stephen Vereb, owners of the Burke, VA center (located at 5747 Burke Centre Parkway) and the Falls Church center (located at 1208 W. Broad Street), were named Massage Envy Multi-Unit Franchisees of the Year. Both awards were presented at Massage Envy's Annual Franchise Conference held in Phoenix, AZ in May.
