Boardwalk Fresh Burger and Fries expands its opportunities in Virginia Beach.

July 19, 2011 // Franchising.com // Daniel Wilke, a resident of Virginia Beach, has joined the Boardwalk Fresh Burgers and Fries franchise. Mr. Wilke plans on opening three locations in the Virginia Beach area over the next several years. When asked why he chose Boardwalk Fresh Burgers and Fries, Mr. Wilke states, "I was exploring different concepts. I was drawn to Boardwalk because of their long establishment in the food business, and I liked their fresh, made-to-order concept. I feel that this is a segment of the market that is currently under-served and a natural fit for Virginia Beach."

Mr. Wilke has an extensive, 25 year background in the hotel industry, having worked for Hyatt Hotels, Starwood Hotels and as Corporate Director of Third-Party Management for TPG Hospitality. Currently he is conducting site selection in Virginia Beach and is hoping to find, and perhaps open, his first Boardwalk Fresh Burgers and Fries by the end of the year.
