August 12, 2011 // Franchising.com // PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL — Labor Finders International, the oldest and largest privately held industrial labor staffing company in the United States is pleased to announce that Wayne Salen, Director of Risk Management has received the prestigious Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc.'s (RIMS) 2010 Richard W. Bland Memorial Award. Mr. Salen was presented the award at RIMS Annual Conference and Exhibition on May 2nd in Vancouver, Canada.
The Richard W. Bland Memorial Award was created to recognize outstanding performance and effort by deputy members of RIMS, in the field of legislation and/or regulation of risk and insurance.
Mr. Salen has been the Director of Risk Management for Labor Finders International since September 2005. He is responsible for all property and casualty programs on a financing and servicing basis as well as safety, health, contract administration, claims management (all lines) and regulatory compliance. Mr. Salen is also responsible for customer and employee selection and integration process and all corporate risk training and education.
Mr. Salen previously served on RIMS board of directors (2000-2004 & 2005-2010) and currently serves on the Workers Compensation Risk Certification (WRC) Advisory Board of the American Staffing Association (ASA) as well as the U.S. Technical Advisory Group (TAG) for ISO 31000, the international risk management standard.
