RMHC(R) Recognizes Glass Doctor(R) at Its 2011 International Conference

Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®) recognized Glass Doctor for their support at the 2011 RMHC International Conference.

August 24, 2011 // Franchising.com // The RMHC global system comes together every two years to rally around its common mission of creating, finding and supporting programs that directly improve the health and well being of children. The event took place Aug. 9-12 in Chicago, Ill.

In addition to being recognized as a donor, a representative from the holding company of Glass Doctor, The Dwyer Group, Inc.®, showcased examples of their in-kind donations and involvement with the Charity to attendees. As part of the national program, Glass Doctor franchises provide glass installation/replacement work and volunteer services for Ronald McDonald Houses across North America.

"It was exciting to see the wonderful work RMHC does around the world and to know we are a part of it," said Mike Bidwell, president and COO of The Dwyer Group, Inc. "A key message takeaway was the emphasis on providing the biggest currency of all when a child is sick – time. We are proud to be partnered with such a strong and meaningful organization."

RMHC was established in memory of McDonald's® founder and franchise icon Ray Kroc in 1984. Their cornerstone program, the Ronald McDonald House®, provides a "home-away-from-home" so families can stay close by while their child gets the health care they need.

"We are pleased to recognize The Dwyer Group's generosity and involvement with RMHC and the Ronald McDonald House program. With their support, we are able to provide stability and vital resources to families so they can focus on what matters most -- the critical needs of their children," said Marty Coyne, president and CEO of Ronald McDonald House Charities.
