AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwire - Sep 9, 2011) - CMIT Solutions, the nation's leader in providing information technology services and solutions to small and medium-sized businesses, has hired Frank A. Picarello as Vice President of Franchise Services, a move that will not only raise the company's profile in the technology industry, but also help CMIT Solutions' existing offices become even more profitable.
Picarello has extensive experience in the small to medium-sized business sector, where he most recently served as the CEO of Cadence Management Advisors, a Phoenix-based company that helped small businesses succeed by focusing on their challenges and needs.
But it is his experience at All Covered, another technology company focused on the needs of small businesses that prospered before it was ultimately acquired, that caught the attention of Jeff Connally, the CEO of CMIT Solutions.
"With Frank working hand-in-hand with their many branch offices, All Covered grew 35 percent a year," said Connally. "Frank was a star, both for All Covered's branch offices and the corporate office. We expect a similar performance at CMIT Solutions, where Frank can help our locally-owned offices eliminate inefficiencies and embrace potential areas of growth."
Prior to starting Cadence, Picarello spent more than 15 years at IBM starting as an engineer and working his way up to general manager in their professional services division. He has also held executive roles at the aforementioned All Covered, Nortel Networks, and MicroAge. Additionally, Picarello is the current Chairperson for CompTIA's Small Business Owner's group and a member of CompTIA's Unified Communication Committee.
Picarello said his strategy centers on three objectives.
"First, we are going to help our local owners grow wallet share," said Picarello. "Then we are going to help them find new customers. Finally, we are going to explore the acquisition of other IT companies in the franchisee's respective market."
