ALISO VIEJO, Calif., Sept. 16, 2011 // PRNewswire // -- The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey and Oklahoma State University (OSU) students return to school with Johnny Rockets, the first on-campus locations for the all-American brand. Each restaurant is located in the student center on campus and accepts their school's student dining plan cards.

Students and visitors can enjoy Johnny Rockets' signature favorites including Hamburgers, Shakes and American Fries, served in a fun and upbeat environment. Both restaurants also feature lighter options including chicken sandwiches, Boca Burgers, turkey burgers and salads.

″The food, fun and friendliness of Johnny Rockets really works for a college campus,″ said CEO of Johnny Rockets, John Fuller. ″Whether students are looking for a quick bite during a study break or an enjoyable casual dinner, our versatile menu appeals to a variety of needs.″

The Stockton College Grand Opening event took place in the new Campus Center Osprey Food Court September 15, at 12 p.m. with a ribbon-cutting event featuring Fuller, Dr. Herman J. Saatkamp, President of the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, as well as Steve Sweeney, President and CEO of Chartwells.

Jason Fitch, resident district manager of Chartwells Dining Services at The Richard Stockton College stated, ″Our student population specifically requested Johnny Rockets be a part of our 154,000 square foot campus center, and they can now enjoy all-American fare as they head back to school. Johnny Rockets' bright and welcoming decor compliments the new Osprey Food Court and their menu items fit right in with what our students tell us they want to eat.″

The OSU Grand Opening and ribbon-cutting event will take place in early October, as students and faculty celebrate the opening of their newly renovated Student Union building.

″Students are generally attracted to the restaurant experiences they grew up with, which is reflected in the shift away from solely eating in campus cafeterias,″ adds Terry Baker, director of University Dining Services at Oklahoma State University. ″Johnny Rockets' high-quality food and simple atmosphere is unlike anything else we've previously offered and is sure to hit the spot for students seeking comfort food and friendly service.″
