REO Specialist Robin Jones of Keller Williams Realty Attends REO Forecast and Housing Recovery Seminar

Sarasota, Florida Agent Advises Home Sellers to Sell Now Before the Wave of New Foreclosures

Lakewood Ranch, FL, September 30, 2011 --(PR.com)-- More than 1.2 million bank-owned properties are expected to be released into the market next year, according to the REO Forecast and Housing Recovery Update conference attended by Robin Jones, a Real Estate Owned (REO) specialist with Keller Williams Realty Sarasota-Lakewood Ranch.

Held recently in Miami Lakes, the conference featured a panel of experts representing Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac/HomeSteps, Wells Fargo, Chase and Bank of America. Sponsored by the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, South Florida Chapter, the conference focused on the state of the REO market over the next three to 36 months.

As banks work through their robo-signing issues and release more foreclosures into the market, property values will decline, Jones warned. He advises sellers with listings on the market to "press to get it sold" before the market is flooded and inventories rise. "Price it right and sell it, because once this wave of foreclosures hits the market, it will take longer to sell your house," he said.

Jones is among the top-producing agents at Keller Williams Realty Sarasota-Lakewood Ranch. A Keller Williams associate since 2005, he began focusing on REO properties four years ago, when he recognized a shift in the real estate market. He has been an REO agent for the Bank of America for four years and Wells Fargo for two years. In 2010, he received a special award at the Keller Williams Family Reunion in New Orleans for achieving $13 million in sales.

Nationally, Keller Williams Realty was the only real estate franchise to grow every year in the past five years. It is the fastest growing real estate company in the United States, increasing from 8,000 agents in 2000 to more than 80,000 agents currently. Keller Williams is now the second-largest real estate franchise in the United States based on the total number of sales professionals, according to research conducted by REAL Trends. No other brokerage offers agent profit sharing and an Agent Leadership Council, where top agents help to set policy for the direction of the company.

Keller Williams Realty Sarasota-Lakewood Ranch is the largest single real estate office in Sarasota, with more than 190 agents. Address: 6710 Professional Parkway West, Suite 301, Sarasota, Florida 34240. Jones can be reached at (941) 650-4427, or by e-mail at rjones25@tampabay.rr.com.
