A Strong Start for a Stronger Year: Club Z! Lends New Support to St. Charles Schooling

New owner and Area Director Julie Sauvage aims to boost standardized test scores and raise grades for St. Charles County children

ST. CHARLES, Mo., Oct. 5, 2011 // PRNewswire // -- As students across the nation settle into the routine of a new school year, many parents are seeing the first few graded assignments trickle homeward. For students who had a less than stunning spring semester followed by months of summer learning loss, this can be a tough time - made tougher by the fact that, in today's crowded classrooms, teachers are often simply not able to address individual students' needs or help them overcome specific challenges. What's more, without subject-area expertise, near-infinite patience, and the right schedule and resources, many parents have trouble taking up the slack.

Julie Sauvage, a prior sales and marketing professional, parent, and long-term resident of the St. Louis metro area, was considering returning to school to obtain her teaching certification when she noticed the need for a different type of support within the education industry. As the owner and director of her own Club Z! In-Home Tutoring Services branch, Ms. Sauvage will support the area's children, parents, and teachers by providing tutoring specifically designed to take an individualized approach, helping students overcome specific stumbling blocks, build better study skills, and raise their grades.

This strong focus on results means that students tutored by Club Z! are more likely to see lasting benefits when it comes to increased academic confidence and the ability to work toward their goals. And this, confirms Ms. Sauvage, is exactly what she was looking for.

"I really wanted the opportunity to work in an industry that helps others succeed and rise to their full potential," she states. "Club Z! was a perfect fit, allowing me to use my sales and marketing experience in an industry that really helps and cares for others."

As Area Director, Ms. Sauvage, who holds a degree in business administration from the University of Illinois, will manage a team of tutors who are pre-screened subject-area experts. Tutoring sessions are conducted in-home on flexible, parent-friendly schedules, with regular progress reports provided, and parents tend to enjoy the competitive rates, the lack of commute to a tutoring center, and the ability to see first-hand that their child is receiving the high quality, one-on-one attention they need and deserve.

With an excellent 15-year reputation and hundreds of thousands of happy clients nationwide, the Club Z! franchise - North America's largest one-on-one in-home tutoring program - is well-respected and well-loved for its supportive style and high success rates. The security and familiarity of the home environment allow children to concentrate more easily and help to eliminate distractions and promote learning. Meanwhile, Club Z!'s curriculum is centered around the child's own school curriculum whenever possible, with supplemental material only as needed, to avoid overwhelming a student who may already be behind. Tutoring is available to students of all age levels and abilities.

In addition to tutoring in all core academic subject areas from kindergarten to the college level, preparation for standardized tests such as the ACT and SAT are another a major focus area of Ms. Sauvage's new branch. The company also offers programs designed to build study and organizational skills.

As a resident of the St. Charles area for the past five years, Ms. Sauvage is excited to be offering such a valuable service to her local community. "I like to provide a consultative approach to potential tutors and clients," she states, "and I look forward to assisting many area families with their tutoring needs."
