Barberitos supports Breast Cancer Awareness month!

October 13, 2011 // // (Athens, GA) - Barberitos, an all natural and fresh, Tex-Mex restaurant is proud to help support Susan G. Komen Passionately Pink for the Cure. Barberitos has partnered with Passionately Pink for the cure for the month of October in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. Customers will be able to donate to Passionately Pink for the Cure through The money raised from the donations will help to further raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research.

In efforts to support this cause, Barberitos has rolled out their “Barberitos’ Gives Breast Cancer the Boot” campaign. On October 1, 2011 the Barberitos locations throughout the Southeast will serve pink chips every Tuesday during Breast Cancer Awareness month. Stores will be selling “Barberitos Gives Breast Cancer the Boot” t-shirts to raise additional funds.
“We think Breast Cancer Awareness is a great cause to support” said Founder and CEO, Downing Barber. “What a better way to spread awareness and raise money for help those in need.”

Committed to serving “farm fresh” food, Barberitos serves all natural vegetables delivered to stores and hand-cut daily. Whole breasts of chicken are grilled fresh, as the high quality cuts of steak, and choice ground beef. Barberitos restaurants are not equipped with freezers or microwaves as all food is prepared fresh, with no fats or preservatives added during the time of preparation. Barberitos’ salsa, guacamole, hot sauces, meat marinades, and salad dressings are made from scratch every day.

Each menu offering is prepared at the time it is ordered right in front of the customer. Barberitos “7 under 7” menu features seven items each under seven grams of fat and less than 400 calories and includes mini grilled chicken burrito, jerk fish taco, and a variety of salads.

Founded in 2000, Barberitos has 24 restaurant franchise locations in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida and Tennessee.
