Leslie Porterfield Sets Three New Records With Sir Speedy Sponsorship

Successful Season at Bonneville Salt Flats on Sir Speedy-Branded Motorcycles

October 13, 2011 // Franchising.com // Mission Viejo, Calif., - Sir Speedy, Inc. is pleased to announce a successful race season for motorcyclist Leslie Porterfield, whom the company sponsored for a second year in 2011. In a series of three speed events, all held at Utah’s Bonneville Salt Flats, Leslie came away with three new records. Two records were set on her production class 1000cc bike: she first pushed it to 197 mph at the SCTA Speedweek event, then broke her own record just weeks later, accelerating to 200 mph at the BUB Speed Trials. The third record was a lighthearted counterpoint to her others—she gunned a 50cc bike to a sloth-like 9 mph so that she could hold records as both the fastest and the slowest woman in the world on two wheels.
