Jeffrey Schlossberg Named ″Fifty Around 50″ Award Winner by Long Island Business News

Schlossberg received Long Island Business News' 2011 "Fifty or So Around 50" Award. The award recognizes and honors individuals for their leadership in business, support of professional and not-for-profit organizations and a commitment to the needs of the local community. Schlossberg was inducted into the Class of 2011 at an awards celebration held on October 20, 2011 at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, New York.

In his role at the Firm, Schlossberg is a partner, where he is Chair of the Employment Law Group. He has devoted his entire career to the employment law field. Schlossberg has extensive experience in handling all aspects of the employer-employee relationship. Areas of concentration include: employment discrimination prevention and litigation; sexual harassment policy development and compliance; employee policy manuals; independent contractor analysis; family and medical leave; disability matters; wage and hour investigations; non-competition agreements; and corporate mergers and acquisitions.

A resident of White Plains, Schlossberg served as an Adjunct Professor at Iona College and College of New Rochelle Graduate Schools and an Instructor for the Hofstra University School of Law Appellate Advocacy Program. He is an appointed member of the Employment Law Panel of arbitrators for National Arbitration and Mediation. He lectures and writes often on various topics to trade and professional associations. He is an active member of the Hauppauge Industrial Association Human Resources Committee.

In his spare time, Schlossberg proudly serves as a Board Member of the Northeast Regional Board of Canine Companions for Independence. CCI provides highly trained assistance dogs for children and adults with disabilities, free of charge. Additionally, Schlossberg served as a mentor as part of the Binghamton University Law Alumni Mentoring Program.
