Mr. Lang, active with the Justice Center’s Cancer Advocacy Project (CAP), was highlighted for his quality and volume of work, leadership in support of pro bono efforts, and a strong commitment to clients

October 27, 2011 // Franchising.com // CAP, established in 1994, is a resource for cancer patients, cancer survivors, and their families who are experiencing a variety of legal problems or complications. Assistance with wills, public benefits, discrimination in the workplace, health law, and insurance issues is made available free of charge to New Yorkers who are unable to afford an attorney.

Mr. Lang, counsel in the firm’s New York City office, has experience in all aspects of commercial real estate. His practice focuses on representing clients in the acquisition and sale of commercial and multifamily properties, leasing of commercial and retail properties from both the landlord and tenant perspective, and borrower side financing of commercial properties. In addition, Mr. Lang has represented various financial institutions in connection with restructurings of distressed assets, including workouts, forbearance agreements, notes sales, deed-in-lieu of foreclosure agreements, and litigation related to foreclosures of real property.

The City Bar Justice Center, the pro bono affiliate of the New York City Bar Association, increases access to justice by leveraging the resources of the New York City legal community. The Justice Center operates the city’s busiest legal hotline and annually provides direct legal representation, information, and advocacy to over 20,000 poor and vulnerable New Yorkers in areas including foreclosure, bankruptcy, elder law, homelessness, veteran’s assistance, cancer advocacy, and several immigration projects.
