Massage Envys in the Greater Washington D.C and Baltimore Area Raise Over $20,000 for the Arthritis Foundation

Massage Envys in the greater Washington D.C and Baltimore area held a one-day fundraiser for the Arthritis foundation to bring awareness to the millions of Americans suffering from the disease.

Washington, D.C (PRWEB) November 03, 2011 - Massage Envys in the greater Washington D.C and Baltimore area recently raised $20,155.46 in their Healing Hands for Arthritis fundraiser for the Arthritis Foundation. Healing Hands for Arthritis was a one-day charity event held by Massage Envy to help raise awareness for the 50 million people in the nation who suffer from arthritis.

Massage Envys donated $10 from every massage and facial in the greater Washington D.C and Baltimore area on October 12th to the Arthritis Foundation, resulting in a total of 1,727.5 service hours, equaling $17,275.00 in donations with an added $2,880.00 in fishbowl donations. With a grand total of $20,155.46 in total donations, the event was a great success.

The Arthritis Foundation is the only national non-profit health organization leading efforts to prevent, control, and cure arthritis-related diseases. The organization also produces a large number of community based programs and service nationwide to make life with arthritis easier and less painful. Massage Envys in the greater Washington D.C and Baltimore area were happy to be able to raise money for such a great cause and organization.
