Gingerbread Families Return to Good Earth Coffeehouse & Bakery!

Gingerbread Families Help Real Families

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Nov. 16, 2011) - Good Earth Coffeehouse and Bakery has baked up a delicious gingerbread holiday treat in support of Habitat for Humanity.

From November 12th until January 3, 2012, all Good Earth Cafés throughout Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan will sell seasonal packages of fabulous fresh-baked gingerbread families. $1 from the sale of each gingerbread family will go to the local Habitat for Humanity. Each package includes two "adult" cookies and one "child" cookie, and sells for $7.50.

"Whether for yourself or as a gift, buying our Gingerbread Families is a wonderful way to support Habitat for Humanity in building affordable homes for families," says Nan Eskenazi, co-founder of Good Earth. "The cookies make a thoughtful gift for friends, neighbors, teachers, hostesses, coworkers and others."

The Gingerbread Families Helping Families has been raising funds and awareness for community organizations for over ten years, and for Habitat for Humanity for the past three years.

Seasonal beverages like the Gingerbread Latte, Eggnog Latte and Candy Cane Hot Chocolate have also returned to Good Earth. New to the holiday lineup of beverages is a Toasted Coconut Chai and a Red Velvet White Mocha. Good Earth is also offering a Costa Rican Terrazu light roast coffee which is a winner of the renowned "Cup of Excellence" designation for 2011. It will be available throughout the holiday season.
