Taft Welcomes Two New Associates

November 22, 2011 // Franchising.com // CINCINNATI, OHIO – Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP is pleased to announce that Aisha H. Monem and Peter J. O’Shea recently joined the firm’s Cincinnati office as associates. Monem is a member of Taft’s Labor & Employment practice group, and O’Shea is a member of Taft’s Litigation practice group. They are licensed to practice in Ohio.

Monem received her B.A. in English from Washington State University and her J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law where she was a Law Review Articles Editor. During law school, Monem externed for Chief Judge Susan J. Dlott in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. She was recently awarded the Northern Kentucky Bar Foundation Minority Scholarship for her academic success and was published in the 2012 U.S. News & World Report’s Graduate Schools issue, in which she discussed her decision to attend UC Law.

O'Shea is a 2010 graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where he earned magna cum laude and Order of the Coif honors and was Executive Editor of the University of Cincinnati Law Review. He received his undergraduate degree in History and Political Science from Thomas More College. Before joining the firm, O'Shea clerked for the Honorable David L. Bunning of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky. He previously served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Republic of Moldova.
