Famous Dave's Legendary Pit Bar-B-Que(R) Opens New BBQ Shack in Eden Prairie, Minnesota

MINNEAPOLIS, Dec 5, 2011 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX) -- Famous Dave's of America, Inc. (Nasdaq:DAVE) is pleased to announce the grand opening of the new "Famous Dave's BBQ Shack," a fast casual dining experience in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. The company-owned restaurant opens December 5, 2011. Conveniently located at 590 Prairie Center Drive -- adjacent to the Eden Prairie Center Mall -- the new BBQ Shack will offer the same great barbeque as traditional Famous Dave's locations, but at a faster pace and with some unique benefits.

Additionally, our founder, Famous Dave Anderson, will use this location to try new menu ideas and to experiment with new seasonings, sauces, and flavors. Unlike traditional drive-thru windows, the Eden Prairie location will include a convenient pick-up window designed specifically for Guests who have pre-ordered their meals by phone. "We understand that sometimes Guests are in a hurry, need to pick up a quick dish for a party, or just want to get home quickly with a delicious meal they can share with their family in the comfort of their own home," continued O'Donnell. "The pick-up window is our version of curb-side service as it will allow Guests to quickly retrieve their pre-ordered BBQ without having to park and come inside."

To celebrate the grand opening, the Eden Prairie team is hosting a random drawing for free All-American BBQ Feasts for a year (one each month from January through December) from the new Eden Prairie BBQ Shack location. Guests are encouraged to fill out an entry form at the restaurant and drop it in the entry box located inside the new BBQ Shack between the opening day of December 5 and December 31, 2011. The grand prize winner will be selected on January 6.

Open Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., guests can enjoy both lunch and dinner in the 3200 square foot restaurant. Guests can dine in or order To Go by calling 952-941-5849.
