Famous Dave's Legendary Pit Bar-B-Que(R) Opens New Springfield, Missouri Restaurant

MINNEAPOLIS, Dec. 5, 2011 // GLOBE NEWSWIRE // -- Famous Dave's of America, Inc. (Nasdaq:DAVE) announces the opening of the Company's third Missouri restaurant in Springfield. The new restaurant, owned and operated by Midwest BBQ Ventures South Springfield, LLC, is conveniently located at 4406 S. Campbell Avenue – just across the street from the new Academy of Sports and Sam's Club.

"With the great success we've had in Branson for the past five years, we are excited to open the first Famous Dave's in the Springfield market," said Dave Jones, managing member and co-owner of Midwest BBQ Ventures South Springfield LLC. "I believe that each guest will become a raving fan once they taste our award-winning food." Jones co-owns the Springfield location with Joe Gira and Mark Coburn. Additionally, he is owner and operator of two Branson, Missouri locations under Branson Entity Jones Restaurants Missouri, LLC. Jones, Gira and Coburn plan to expand their Famous Dave's franchise operations into the St. Louis market in 2012.

The new Springfield location is the first Famous Dave's location to have a sixty-foot elevated gas fire pit to highlight the delicious, smoked BBQ offerings to its customers. Additionally, customers can choose from a host of craft beers on tap from Mother's Brewing Company. Proceeds from the news store's "Friends and Family" training weekend, held December 2-3, will support the Make-A-Wish® Foundation.

Open Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., guests can enjoy both lunch and dinner in the 6,100 square foot restaurant. Guests can dine in or order To Go by calling (417) 877-8646. Catering for events and social gatherings of all sizes is available as well in the restaurant's second level semi-private dining room.
