December 19, 2011 // Franchising.com // Charlotte, N.C. - “BO Time” on the go has never been easier with Bojangles’ brand new iPhone app, which allows users to play digital cornhole, find the closest restaurant, set up alerts to invite their friends to join them at Bojangles’ and even set a “stomach growl alarm” for It’s Bo Time! The new app is available at no cost for all iPhone and iPad® users only at the iTunes Store®.
Just in time for college bowl games, Bojangles’ new iPhone app features digital cornhole, a popular tailgating game. Now cornhole fans can play the game whether they’re at the stadium, in their living room or without an actual set of cornhole boards. Play modes include single-player mode and pass and play which allows you to play with a group of friends. Players can toss virtual bean bags with their finger or turn on the accelerometer and swing their phone for tossing – just be careful not to throw your phone!
Thanks to the new app, craving a Bo-Berry Biscuit® or Chicken Supremes™ while on the go is no longer an inconvenience. Using the iPhone or iPad’s® GPS, Bojangles’ fans can find the closest restaurants, and each stores address and phone number will appear on the screen. You can also click to get directions to the store using the Google Maps app.
Finding the closest Bojangles’ isn’t all the locator can do – it also allows users to set up a “Bo Time Alert” that will send an invitation to friends, using Facebook, to join them at specific restaurant locations at a certain date and time. The alert will send a reminder and allow friends to RSVP through Facebook.
The new app is also handy for getting out of tricky situations. Whether you want to get out of a meeting or need your daily fix of a Cajun filet biscuit, simply set the “growl alarm” at a specific time and a stomach growl will sound, giving you the perfect excuse to say, “It’s BO Time!” and make your exit.
“Whether you’re craving Bojangles’ chicken and biscuits on the go or just want to play a friendly game of digital cornhole, the new ‘It’s Bo Time’ app is perfect for any Bojangles’ fan,” said Bojangles’ Senior Vice President of Marketing Randy Poindexter.
