World’s Largest Coffee Franchise Launches in Tasmania

December 23, 2011 // // Australian-born Cafe2U, the world’s largest mobile coffee franchise is launching in Tasmania in 2012. Searching for franchisees in three Tasmanian territories, Cafe2U currently has over 117 franchises located across Australia, and 180 worldwide.
Cafe2U Managing Director Derek Black said, “We are extremely excited to finally be taking the brand to Tasmania. We see it as a great growth opportunity, with a strong coffee market readymade for stimulating Cafe2U expansion in the territories we have earmarked.”
With potential Franchise opportunities now available in two territories in Hobart, and one in Launceston, Cafe2U is eager to bring its award winning coffee and business model to Tasmania.
Cafe2U has experienced truly significant national and global growth in 2011, notably launching into the USA, which has been an exciting step for the rapidly expanding Australian-owned franchise. Earlier in the year, they signed a Master Franchise Deal in the US and unveiled their first franchise in Oregon. The expansion is viewed as a highly positive step for the franchise and Mr. Black hopes to see continuous growth in thisnewly tapped market.
Their second franchise opens in California in the new year.
Mark Andrews, who has worked as Victoria’s Campbellfield Cafe2U franchise owner since 2010, believes the expansion to Tasmania will quickly attract interest from potential business owners and customers alike.
“I am sure we will gain momentum and popularity quickly in Tasmania. From my own personal experience it’s never too late to learn something new. Working in the outdoors each day and serving my customers has been a terrific career change for me. Cafe2U offers excellent support that truly sets the business apart which I’m sure will resonate well in Tasmania,” he said.
