Massage Heights Salutes Houston's Amateur Athletes
Inaugural Champions of Spirit Awards Will Recognize Achievements by Local Competitors
HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - Jan 11, 2012) - Massage Heights, a leading provider of sports massage therapy, has created a special award to recognize the achievements of athletically-inclined men and women in Houston.
This program invites Houstonians to submit the 2011 sports-related accomplishments of local amateurs. Following a nomination period a panel of experts will review the entries and select up to ten individuals for awards. In February, the winners will be recognized at a luncheon with the Houston Massage Heights Retreat owners.
"Regular therapeutic massage is beneficial to people of all walks of life," notes J. D. Busch, owner of the River Oaks and Champions Village Retreats in Houston. "The sports massage we offer is specifically targeted to relieve the effects of physical exertion on the bodies of runners, golfers, tennis players, swimmers and virtually any other practitioner of physical activity."
Houston-based competitors who are legal residents of the U.S., who were at least 21 years of age by January 1, 2011 and not employed in a full-time or part-time capacity as a competitor in professional sports, are eligible to apply.
To nominate an athlete for a Champions of Spirit Award, Houstonians should email Sports@MassageHeightsHouston.com before January 31, 2012, and include the name of the athlete, a maximum 500 word description of their achievements as an amateur during 2011 and the athlete's contact information. Award recipients will be contacted by the judges.
A complete set of rules is available via email to Rules@MassageHeightsHouston.com or by calling (713) 522-4273.
