Whole Grain Donuts & "Skinny" Lattes

Attention 2012 New Year's Resolutioners! LaMar's Donuts now offers delicious, health-conscious Whole-Grain Glazed Cake and Raised Donuts, paired with a "Skinny" Latte Collection*

DENVER, Jan. 23, 2012 // PRNewswire // -- LaMar's Donuts introduces new Whole-Grain Glazed Cake and Whole-Grain Raised Donuts accompanied by a variety of "Skinny" Latte flavorings. These whole-grain options are available starting January 16th, and satisfy consumer demand for healthier options while still maintaining decadent artisan products from LaMar's Donuts. "We are offering the Whole-Grain Trio throughout the first quarter of 2012 due to overwhelming requests from our loyal customers to carry a variety of health-conscious options. This will be the first phase of a wave of several healthier options to be offered in the future," said Kayde Pierce, spokesperson for LaMar's.

In taste tests, customers fell in love with many combinations, including the Whole-Grain Cake donut paired with a delicious Skinny Sugar-Free Caramel Latte. Other favorites were the Whole-Grain Raised donut dipped in our Skinny Sugar Free Vanilla Latte. Consumers can find these products at LaMar's Donuts nationwide, available until March 31st 2012.*

Like all LaMar's Donuts, our Whole-Grain donuts are made fresh every day. Unlike mass-production frozen and thaw-and-serve donuts made elsewhere, every LaMar's product is handmade from start to finish, beginning with hand-kneading the dough to made-from-scratch glazes and icings on each donut.

*Latte Collection available at participating locations.

About Lamar's Donuts

The roots of LaMar's Donuts date back to 1933 when Ray Lamar, age 17, began making donuts for ten cents an hour. Ray Lamar founded LaMar's Donuts in 1960, and built the single store business into a growing national enterprise selling millions of donuts to millions of beloved customers each day. LaMar's fame grew when Ray Lamar appeared on NBC's The Tonight Show, The Travel Channel and The Food Network, among other productions. Since franchises became available in the 1990s, LaMar's Donuts has grown to 27 locations in six states: Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska. LaMar's Donuts have been recommended by Zagat's Survey, the New Yorker and Gourmet Magazine, and were chosen in the summer of 2008 as one of America's five best donuts by AOL Cityguide.
