30-Year Bojangles' Restaurant Operator Opens 47th Location

Durham, N.C. - Jan. 24, 2012— Tri-Arc Food Systems is satisfying Durham residents’ craving for Bojangles’ Famous Chicken ‘n Biscuits with the opening of its newest location at 176 Stratford Lakes Drive.

Located on the corner of Fayetteville Road and Stratford Lakes Drive in front of Lowe’s, the new Bojangles’ features drive-thru and in-store dining beginning with breakfast and continuing through dinner late into the evening. Spanning 3,886 square feet, the new location carries on the Bojangles’ warm, family-friendly tradition in a spacious environment.

“We are thrilled to open a new restaurant in Durham and to offer a dining experience unlike any other restaurant in the quick-serve chicken category,” said Tommy Haddock, president of Tri-Arc Food Systems. “In addition to serving Bojangles’ distinctive array of chicken dishes, fresh buttermilk biscuits and fixin’s, our service standards will win over our guests from the moment they walk in the store or visit our drive-thru.”

Durham’s Bojangles’ can seat up to 98 guests inside the restaurant. The unique interior and exterior design enhancements reflect Bojangles’ shift towards fast casual dining, blending quick-service with a casual dining atmosphere. Plus, at the drive-thru, Bojangles’ is setting the industry standard, turning orders routinely in less than a minute.

“Bojangles’ is a strong franchise system, and we are proud to represent the brand in local communities throughout the region,” added Haddock. “Each new restaurant we open not only gives our loyal fans a great meal option, but also affects the community’s local economic landscape through job creation and construction projects. We look forward to continuing to make a positive mark everywhere we go.”

Beyond service touches, Bojangles’ attracts customers with its proprietary, made-from-scratch fare offering a flavor profile unlike anything in the market. Meal options are available all day, including breakfast at all hours.

For three decades, Haddock has grown Tri-Arc Food Systems into one of Bojangles’ largest franchise operators in the system. With 47 Bojangles’ restaurants, Haddock has reached several significant company milestones including opening the 300th franchise location at 820 E. Chatham Street in Cary. In June 2011, Bojangles’, Inc. recognized Tri-Arc Food Systems and its significant achievements during the company’s annual Franchise Business Conference. Upwards of 75 local residents are employed at the new Durham restaurant.

Hours of operation at the new Durham location are from 5:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. everyday. For more information or to contact Bojangles’ in Durham call 919-237-2378.
