Photo Opportunity: Panera Bread® "Family Reunion" Attendees From Across North America Join to Support Healthier Lifestyles for Local Children

Panera Bread company and franchise associates, representing over 1,500 bakery-cafes across North America and in Canada, have come together this week in the Washington, DC-area for Panera's Family Reunion. A highlight of their time together will be to work with local children to encourage healthy, active lifestyles.

Family Reunion attendees will band together for an afternoon of fun, role modeling, and giving back to its host city. In keeping with a Panera tradition of supporting the local community where the Reunion is being held, on Wednesday, February 15, more than 2,000 people will participate in an interactive event with 300 elementary school children from the Fort Foote Elementary School in Fort Washington, MD. The school is recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School for Excellence. The activities at the event will be focused on healthy eating, active fitness activities, and literacy. Panera Bread will be providing each child with a valuable gift designed to promote reading and literacy.

The festivities will conclude with a special surprise performance by the children as a fun, active expression of gratitude.
