February 22, 2012 // Franchising.com // CINCINNATI – Skyline Chili has introduced the innovative social media tool SCVNGR in all of its store locations. SCVNGR is a mobile scavenger hunt application – available on smartphones – that rewards users for taking photos, posting comments and checking in at participating locations. Skyline will offer various rewards to those who participate, such as a free drink or coney, for completing various tasks on the application.
“Skyline Chili already has such a loyal fan base online that it only seemed natural to introduce another great way for customers to share their Skyline Chili experiences through social media,” said Sarah Lapham, director of marketing for Skyline Chili. “We hope our fans will find SCVNGR to be a fun and entertaining way to interact with the Skyline brand, and we look forward to rolling out additional rewards over the coming months.”
SCVNGR is the latest example of how Skyline has engaged loyal fans and online advocates via social media. The company has over 180,000 fans on Facebook and approximately 5,700 followers on Twitter.
