February 27, 2012 // Franchising.com // PARSIPPANY, N.J. – In an effort to leverage marketing and sales exposure and reach an expanded consumer base, Wyndham Hotel Group’s Microtel® brand will soon be known as Microtel Inn & Suites® by Wyndham.
Along with the “by Wyndham” label, the brand will sport a refreshed logo featuring the brand’s signature blue and yellow color while integrating key design elements of the Wyndham® logo.
“By tagging Microtel with “by Wyndham” and taking advantage of the Wyndham brand’s recognition, we expect to generate greater brand awareness among consumers and travel planners and provide additional sales opportunities to owners as a result,” said Rui Barros, Microtel’s brand senior vice president.
The Microtel brand will officially become Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham at the 2012 Wyndham Hotel Group Global Conference in Las Vegas on April 2-5. There, Microtel property owners will learn more about the chain’s rebranding strategy.
