Dog Walking/Running Franchise Expanding To Fill The Needs Of West Coast Lifestyle

Dogs Love Running!, the nation’s only exercise-focused pet service franchise, is seeking new franchisees along the western coast of the United States.

Lisle, Illinois (PRWEB) February 29, 2012 - Dogs Love Running!, a unique pet franchise focusing on helping pets live longer and behave better through exercise, is now expanding to multiple states across the nation, including those in the western part of the country.

“We’ve had so many inquires from states like Colorado, California, and Washington, we knew it would be a great opportunity to offer our pet sitting and dog walking/running franchise in many areas of the western US,” says John Reh, president of the company. “We’re based in Chicago and have some brand recognition here already. But, because we’ve had so much interest from other states, we’re expanding to other areas of the country where we can establish our identity in those places as well.”

Dogs Love Running! is typically categorized as a “dog walking and pet sitting” company. Although they do provide those services, what makes them different is that they also provide a “dog running” service. Just like it sounds, they’ll literally go out and run with clients’ dogs.

“We have lots of clients with very active dogs that just don’t get enough exercise with a standard walk around the block. That’s where we can help,” Reh says.

With visits lasting 15, 30, 45, or even 60 minutes, the company provides a custom-tailored program so that just about any dog can get the exercise he/she both wants and needs.

“We make walking and running pet visits all year long,” says the company president. “Even with the cold winter temperatures and snow, we’re out and about with the dogs unless there’s a dangerous weather condition. So, if you’re in Denver or Portland or another area where you encounter a real winter season, you can still run this business without having to stop because of weather.” Reh says that franchisees in the southwest part of the nation get an extra bonus because of the climate there. “If you’re in an area where the winter is relatively mild, that makes this job even better because of great weather all year long.”

“Many heavily-populated urban areas in the western part of the country fit the mold of what we generally look for in a suitable location. There’s a lot of outdoor activity and a progressive lifestyle in many of those parts of the nation and that fits perfectly with what we do.” He states that they have tools and data to help prospective franchisees evaluate their local territory based on population density, demographic characteristics, and other traits that help to give an idea of what type of demand there may be in a particular location.

John adds that they’re excited to bring their version of “doggy healthcare” to new people. “We’re looking forward to meeting new people and their pets. We think they’ll love what we can do for them.”
