Bojangles' Presents 11th Annual Shamrocks Against Dystrophy® Fundraiser

Charlotte, N.C. - Mar. 2, 2012— For the 11th consecutive year, Bojangles’ is supporting the Muscular Dystrophy Association through its Shamrocks Against Dystrophy® in-store fundraiser. Beginning today, March 2, through Sunday, March 18, customers can once again support the organization by purchasing a green shamrock for $1 or gold shamrock for $5.

The program is offered at all company-owned and participating franchise restaurant locations, and customers who support MDA by purchasing a $1 or $5 shamrock will be rewarded with a coupon for a free Bo-Berry Biscuit®, a delicious, sweet treat beloved by Bojangles’ customers.

Funds raised during the program will help send children affected by neuromuscular diseases to MDA Summer Camp. This one-of-a-kind camp experience offers a wide range of activities specially designed for young people who have limited mobility or use medical equipment such as wheelchairs. All programs are conducted in a relaxed atmosphere to give campers an unmatched opportunity to develop lifelong friendships, share interests and build self-confidence alongside those dealing with similar challenges.

The cost of sending one child to MDA Summer Camp for a week is $800. Last year, with the help of their loyal customers, Bojangles’ set a company record and raised over $304,000. This year’s goal is to raise $325,000 and set another company record and send more children to camp than ever.
