Jazzercise to Raise Funds for NAMI During Thunder Half Time Show

Jazzercise Edmond is fundraising for NAMI, National Alliance on Mental Illness with a Half Time Performance for Thunder. The performance is at the April 2nd game and practice sessions are every Sunday evening 5:35p at Jazzercise Edmond. 140 Jazzercisers are dancing and over 300 are supporting/sponsoring.

Edmond, OK, March 03, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Local Jazzercisers from all over the metro area will help energize the crowd at Oklahoma City Thunder vs Memphis Grizzlies NBA game, April 2nd 7:00pm when they give a live demonstration of the largest dance-fitness program in the world for the half time show at Chesapeake Energy Arena, Oklahoma City, OK.

Jazzercisers are using this opportunity to raise funds for NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, through sponsorships and fundraising activities as well as contributions by each of the over 100 performers. NAMI supports families and individuals affected by mental illness. “We know how important it is not only to address physical health benefits but also to promote emotional health,” says Stacy Bozarth, owner of Jazzercise Edmond. “We always strive to infuse an overall ‘feel good’ factor into every workout as well as include cardiovascular endurance, strength, and flexibility.” Jazzercisers from centers all over the metro area will be participating in the halftime performance dedicated to NAMI. In addition to organizing this event, Jazzercise Edmond will be participating in another event, the 9th annual 5 K NAMI walk, kicking off the walk with a fun Jazzercise warm up. “We are proud to be a part of raising funds and awareness for NAMI at the walk as well as with our halftime performance for the NBA,” says Stacy Bozarth.
