Applebee's Partners with Transaction Wireless to Make March Madness More Fun through its Facebook 'Catch the Game' Invite App

Transaction Wireless to provide the personalized digital gift card engine for sports fans to plan, invite and treat friends to their next big game day event at any Applebee’s restaurant.

Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) March 13, 2012 - Transaction Wireless, the leading provider of digital gift card solutions, today announces that Applebee’s, the world's largest casual dining chain, expanded its offering with the Transaction Wireless platform to provide its sports fans with personalized digital gift cards as part of its “Catch the Game” invite application on Facebook.

Applebee’s “Catch the Game” Facebook application will be available just in time for the start of the NCAA basketball series also known as March Madness. Basketball fans can visit the Applebee’s Facebook page and are able to schedule a viewing party at any Applebee's location of their choice to invite family and friends to attend.

The host and any attendees are prompted to purchase a digital gift card as part of the invite. As guests RSVP for a game-viewing event, they will be prompted to purchase a digital gift card that can be personalized with an image, text and audio message for the host, guests or anyone else. Even guests that are not able to attend can join in on the fun. After selecting “Not Attending” to the invite, invitees have the option to send an Applebee’s gift card with a custom message such as, “First round of appetizers are on me!” for their friends to enjoy.
