Bach to Rock Launches New Veterans Incentive Program
America's Music School Aims to Help More Veterans Become Business Owners
BETHESDA, Md., March 20, 2012 // PRNewswire // -- Bach to Rock (B2R), America's music school for students of all ages, announced today it has created a new incentive program that supports U.S. military veterans seeking to own a Bach to Rock franchise. The company will waive its franchise fee and offer a 50 percent royalty fee reduction for the first year of operation for all honorably discharged veterans. The total savings is estimated at approximately $49,000.
"We're excited to offer a path to business ownership for more veterans interested in franchising, especially those who are passionate about music and serving their local communities," said Brian Gross, president of Bach to Rock. "With our new veterans initiative, it is our goal to give back to the brave men and women who served our country by providing more leadership opportunities for them."
Bach to Rock's offering is a part of "Operation Enduring Opportunity," a program developed by the International Franchise Association (IFA) with a goal "to hire as team members and recruit as franchise business owners 75,000 veterans and military spouses and 5,000 wounded warriors by 2014."
"Bach to Rock's initiative will enable more of our nation's veterans to transition into successful civilian careers as franchise business owners," said Steve Caldeira, president of the International Franchise Association. "We commend Bach to Rock for its leadership of our industry and for its commitment to our military heroes."
Today, more franchise businesses, including Bach to Rock, are creating jobs and entrepreneurial opportunities for veterans. This may be contributing to the recent unemployment rate for Iraq and Afghanistan veterans, which is down from last year's high of 12.5 percent to 7.6 percent.
Bach to Rock is currently seeking candidates to open franchise locations in the Mid-Atlantic region, from New Jersey to North Carolina, and plans to broaden its efforts into markets across the country. This is an opportunity for entrepreneurs to build a business that is dedicated to helping children, seniors and adults learn to play the music they love.
To fuel B2R's growth, the company is seeking qualified franchise candidates with strong management or business backgrounds. While music experience or ability is not necessary, candidates should be able to build a strong team of committed musicians to ensure the school's success.
