Elevation Burger Joins Line-up Of Tysons Corner Center Eateries

Delicious, Organic, Family-Friendly, and Health-Conscious National Chain Joins Eight Other Elevation Burger Locations in DC-Metro Area

March 27, 2012 // Franchising.com // McLean, VA – Elevation Burger, the rapidly growing, fast-casual restaurant serving great-tasting 100% USDA-certified organic, 100% grass-fed, free range burgers, joined the list of Tysons Corner Center eateries when it opened its 54-seat restaurant on March 20th. Recognized as the nation’s first organic hamburger chain since opening in Falls Church, VA in 2005, Elevation Burger offers a healthier, delicious alternative to the usual fast-food burger.

Elevation Burger is re-thinking an American-classic and redefining the fast food gestalt with its focus on offering quality food that is better for customers and for the environment. In addition to amazing organic hamburgers, Elevation Burger offers two kinds of veggie burgers, fries cooked in heart-healthy olive oil and hand-scooped shakes. The chain’s warm, welcoming, and well-appointed restaurants provide an elevated dining experience for families and kids, health-conscious consumers, on-the-go urbanites, and everyone else.

The flagship restaurant at Tysons Corner will be the third Elevation Burger locale to feature the proprietary griddle developed by CEO and founder Hans Hess that can produce three times as much product in one hour and reduce the waiting time on orders. Hess says the 20-foot long conveyor-style griddle is unlike anything currently being used in the better burger sector.

Driven by his passion to bring organic, sustainable, and fresh food to a national audience, Hess created the concept for Elevation Burger in 2002. As a California native unable to find the burgers he enjoyed since leaving the West Coast, he saw the opportunity to fill a gap in the growing burger market by serving incredible-tasting organic burgers that are free of chemicals, hormones and antibiotics, and don’t leave people bogged down with that “fast food feeling.” Three years later, Elevation Burger was born, quickly dubbed the “Next Big Chain” by AOL Small Business and labeled an “up and comer” in the better burger category by The Food Channel.

Hess notes that the Tysons Corner restaurant is a good example of an adaptive reuse of space, making it more environmentally friendly, as it was formerly used for industrial storage. “Despite the inherent challenges that come with a construction project with adaptive reuse, we were readily willing to assume these challenges,” he said. “ Not only because of the great location, but because we believe that when there is an opportunity to make our build-out green, it is something that will always be considered, as it ties directly into our company’s core beliefs.”

The 29th restaurant in the Elevation Burger chain and the third in Virginia, Tysons Corner Center is located at 7827L Tysons Corner Center, McLean, VA. Telephone: (703) 288-0020. Hours of Operation: Mon-Sun 11:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.
