Taft Employees to Shed Shoes to Support TOMS "One Day Without Shoes" Awareness Campaign

April 06, 2012 // Franchising.com // CINCINNATI, OHIO - The employees of Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP are shedding their shoes April 10 to support a global campaign to raise awareness regarding the impact of not having a simple pair of shoes. “One Day Without Shoes” sponsored by TOMS Shoes, a California-based company, encourages people to go barefoot on April 10 and support this worthy cause.

Since TOMS was founded in 2006, they have provided more than one million pairs of shoes to children in need. In support of the program, Taft employees have been encouraged to invite contacts to show their support with, or preferably without, their shoes on April 10 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. in the Taft Center. A light breakfast will be provided for the first 100 guests, and a group photo will be taken at 8:30 a.m.

The firm is also participating in the TOMS "Barefoot Challenge." That challenge encourages companies to have their employees and contacts sign a pledge before April 10 to go without shoes on that day. The company with the highest number of participants on April 10 will get an opportunity to meet with founder and CEO Blake Mycoskie, a fun Friday event courtesy of TOMS and a Style Your Sole event for 50 of the winning organization’s members.
