Woody’s Bar-B-Q Opening In Guelph

April 13, 2012 // Franchising.com // Brampton, Ontario  - Woody’s Canada President Dan Masters is pleased to announce that they will be opening a location May 7th in Guelph at 565 Woodlawn Rd West near the Galaxy Cinemas.

Local franchise owners Darren and Jackie Miller are very excited to be able to bring Woody’s to Guelph and invite all their friends and everyone in the area to their restaurant to eat the way they do in the south.

According to Darren “we saw a need for a full service Southern Bar-B-Q restaurant in the area. Woody’s is perfect for Guelph. The food is the best I’ve ever had and based on the number of people who have been showing up at our restaurant during construction we know we have a winner for us and Guelph.”

Woody’s Bar-B-Q is a thirty year old restaurant chain which was founded in Jacksonville Florida. Bucking the trends of most United States based restaurant chains Woody’s has actually increased in size during the recession.

According to Masters “The response we have had so far in Canada has been overwhelming. Woody’s is the only national Southern Bar-B-Q chain in Canada. This is real Southern Bar-B-Q slowly smoked using traditional methods. I was a customer of Woody’s in the south prior to acquiring the Canadian rights and if anyone serves a better product then what we will offer Canadians I haven’t found it.”

Woody’s offers full service dining, take-out and catering. A full service outdoor patio is also available at the Guelph location.

About Woody's Bar-B-Q

In 1980, Woody and Yolanda Mills set out to create a Bar-B-Q restaurant where the meat melted in your mouth, the coleslaw was so fresh you'd think it was mixed at your table, and the authentic Bar-B-Q flavored beans were the best you'd ever had. So with their passion for Bar-B-Q and a dog-eared collection of homemade recipes, they went on to create a dining experience in the tradition of the South's great hometown Bar-B-Q shacks. It's the kind of Bar-B-Q you and your family can call, well, your Bar-B-Q.
